About

A UK institutional brand for AI agent governance

Governa is built for the procurement, second-line and board-reporting realities of regulated enterprises — with the depth a UK regulator would expect.

Team portrait

Governa Limited is a UK-domiciled enterprise software venture building the productised governance, evaluation, telemetry and audit infrastructure that UK regulated enterprises need to deploy AI agents responsibly and at scale.

The company is positioned UK-first — calibrated to the FCA, ICO, MHRA and UK AI Action Plan expectations that US-origin platforms cannot match without architectural rewrites. Year-three plan (a target, not current results): 110 paying customers, £4.48M ARR, 24 headcount across the UK, Ireland, EU and a US pilot.

The platform's evaluation methodology is the methodology the founder is currently developing in production engineering at Turing — productised, versioned and published openly. The defensibility moat is composed of four reinforcing foundations: methodology authorship, production-data network effects, UK regulatory alignment by architecture, and founder standing in the UK AI governance community.

Methodology authorship

Evaluation harnesses and governance controls are authored by the founder in current production engagement — published openly as the methodology library matures.

Institutional posture

Security controls are tracked in an evidence-backed Trust Centre. SOC 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 programmes have not started yet and are shown honestly on our Security page. Engineering process discipline established at venture initiation.

Advisory bench

Composition includes former FCA technology supervision and former MHRA digital health practitioners. Bench is named on request under NDA.

Hiring sequence

Year 1: Senior Platform Engineer, Senior Frontend Engineer, Customer Success Lead, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs Lead, Founding Account Executive. Year 2: +6 (Ireland scale). Year 3: +12 (EU + US pilot).

Capital efficiency

Invested Value of £71K against a Year-3 ARR target of £4.48M — a sixty-times capital efficiency ratio characteristic of software-as-a-service sold to enterprise procurement at high gross margin.

Open methodology

Technical blog posts, methodology papers and conference presentations published as the library matures — establishing the founder as the methodology author within the UK community.
